We do. We can print or etch bird friendly patterns onto glass. This glass is then typically laminated and can be put into a sealed unit by another company that makes insulated units (IGUs).
Yes, frequently. We fabricate our glass marker boards as back painted glass. The paint colour is typically white, however you could select any paint colour you wish. We can add magnetic backers and marker trays to our glass boards. We can also digitally print corporate logos and other artwork for these marker boards. Our glass marker boards can be installed with various methods including being siliconed directly to the wall, hung on a metal cleat or “Z” clip system, or by using “stand off” hardware that requires a few holes to be drilled into the perimeter of the glass board. Contact us for more information.
We do not fabricate windows also known as insulated units or IGUs. However, our glass can be incorporated into an IGU by other companies who specialize in this type of fabrication.
Our Specs and Warranties section of our site will definitely help with this. You will find a number of technical documents and other information that can assist you with your specification.
Weight of glass depends on glass thickness and dimension. There is a simple formula you can use to calculate fabricated glass weight. Take the total glass thickness in mm and divide by 2. This will provide the weight in lbs per square foot of glass. For example, if the total glass assembly (glass only) is 12mm, the weight of the glass is 6lbs/ft2. If the glass piece is 36” x 72” (3’ x 6’), the total square footage = 18ft2. Therefore, a 12mm thick assembly totalling 18ft2 would weigh 108 lbs.
Yes we are. We only use SGCC approved interlayers for our slaminated glass. In addition, we are also SGCC certified as a laminator of glass. Our SGCC certificates are available in our Specs and Warranties section.
Yes. We offer tempered glass and laminated glass, both of which are considered safety glass per ANSI guidelines.
A number of our materials and processes are eco friendly. For example, we only use low VOC water based coatings for our back painted glass. We recycle all of our glass cut offs. We etch our glass with our two large format digital sandblasting lines which is a very clean process when compared to an acid etching process that involves the use of toxic chemicals.
There is a lot of different information that is required when submitting a quote or a sample request. We want to make that process as easy as possible for you. Our team is here and ready to assist you with any inquiries you may have.
